Join 7seas at Wild BC Seafood Fest 2010

Join 7seas at Wild BC Seafood Fest 2010 this Saturday in Steveston. Judy will be on site with samples, recipe ideas and product you can purchase at the event. This is a great chance for you to check out some of our new products.

There will be cooking demos hosted by Kosta Zogaris featuring top chefs Tojo (Owner & Executive Chef, Tojo’s Restaurant), Neil Taylor (Executive Chef, Cibo Trattoria), Stephen Wong (Cookbook Author & Journalist). You can also shop in the Market area with local producers, buy fresh salmon, sablefish and sardines right off the docks, get inspired by Wild BC seafood creations by local restaurants, and enjoy live entertainment from Darren Specht & the Blues-hawks.

Location: Steveston Harbour Authority Fisherman’s Park (Moncton & 3rd Avenue), Richmond, BC

Hannah Sutherland discusses the growing demand of sustainable seafood and its importance in preserving our oceans. With programs like Ocean Wise, established by the Vancouver Aquarium, the public is receiving information on the importance of sustainable seafood. BT’s Greg Harper talked to George Heras about various topics, including the nutritional benefits of Albacore tuna, the effects of the Gulf oil spill, the story of the Stikine sockeye, and what to look for when buying fish.
